Today we are going to talk about different types of schools and understand their meanings. We will also revise vocabulary connected with schools.

• state school - a school paid by the government which gives free education
• private school - a non-government school whwre you have to pay 
• boarding school - a school where pupils live during school term
• nursery school - a school for very young children at the age of 1-4
• infant school
• junior school
• elementary school
• primary school - a school for young children from 4 to 11 years old
• secondary school - a scool for older children from 11 to 18 
• high school
• co-educational school - a school for boys and girls
• single-sex school - a school for only boys or girls
• comprehensive school - all-inclusive schools in Great Britain
• specialist school - a school students go to for a particular reason
• public school - private school in Great Britain
• independent school - the most espensive private school in Great Britain
• higher vocational school
• technical school
