Speaking about art

1.      How great is your interest in art?

2.      What’s the  best  art gallery you’ve been to? Do you like modern art?

3.      What do you think of installation art?

4.      Do you ever  think a lot of art is not really art? Do you have  a favorite artist?

5.      What kind of art do you like — paintings, sculpture, ceramics, etc? What is art?

6.      Does art change the  way you think or feel?

7.      Do you think anyone can be an artist or do you need a special talent? Do you think all children should study art at school?

8.      Do you think children should learn the  history of art?

9.      Do  you  think  a  painting  can  really  be  worth  a  million  (or  more) dollars?

10.  Do you  think today’s artists are  as  good  as  those from hundreds of years ago?

11.  What was the  last painting / poster / piece  of art you bought. Why  did you buy it?

IF

If I had my life to live over again,
I’d dare to make more mistakes next time.
I’d relax. I’d limber up.
I’d be sillier than I’ve been this trip.
I would take fewer things seriously.
I would take more chances,
I would eat more ice cream and less beans.
I would, perhaps, have more actual troubles but fewer imaginary ones.
you see, I’m one of those people who was sensible and sane,
hour after hour, day after day.

Oh, I’ve had my moments.
If I had to do it over again,
I’d have more of them.
In fact, I’d try to have nothing else- just moments,
one after another, instead of living so many yeas ahead of each day.
I’ve been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without a thermometer, a hot-water bottle, a raincoat, and a parachute.
If I could do it again, I would travel lighter than I have.

If I had to live my life over,
I would start barefoot earlier in the spring
and stay that way later in the fall.
I would go to more dances,
I would ride more merry-go-rounds,
I would pick more daisies.

PASSIVE VOICE 

(ПАСИВНИЙ СТАН) 

Active Voice	Passive Voice
Коли підмет (особа, предмет) виконує дію сам, ми говоримо, що дієслово-присудок вживається в активному стані.	Якщо дія спрямована на підмет, то дієслово-присудок вживається в пасивному стані.
Mr. Priestley teaches the students.	The students are taught by Mr. Priestley.

Часи пасивного стану утворюються за допомогою допоміжного дієслова to be у відповідному часі та формі дієприкметника минулого часу (Past Participle) смислового дієслова. Таким чином, при дієвідмінюванні в пасивному стані змінюється тільки дієслово, смислове ж дієслово має в усіх часових формах одну й ту ж незмінювану форму Р II.

Часи пасивного стану вживаються згідно з тими ж правилами, що й форми активного стану, які їм відповідають.

Active Voice	Passive Voice
People speak English all over the world.	English is spoken all over the world (by people).
You must answer all the questions.	All the questions must be answered (by you).
People will build the new theatre next year.	The new theatre will be built (by people) next year.
