Злічувані іменники – це ті іменники, які ми можемо порахувати. Вони мають форму множини. e.g. one egg,  two eggs, three eggs one orange – five oranges	Деякі іменники є незлічуваними. Вони не мають форми множини, і ми не можемо їх порахувати. e.g. one milk, two milks… Ці іменники включають: Food: butter, bread, cheese, coffee, chocolate, fish, oil, flour, sugar, salt, milk, pepper, jam (джем), lemonade, honey (мед), water, tea, rice (рис), meat, soup (суп); Materials: paper, gold (золото), silver (срібло), iron (залізо)…. Others: money (гроші), time, snow, soap (мило), furniture (меблі), information…
Зі злічуваними іменниками вживаємо:     неозначений артикль a/an                    a lemon, an onion, an apple      означений артикль  the                   e.g. the apricots	З незлічуваними іменниками вживаємо         означений артикль the e.g. the meat, the salt. But! a water, a soup.
Many (багато) e.g. There are many apples on the table. How many? (Скільки?)	Much (багато) e.g. There is much milk in the bottle. How much? (Скільки?)
Few (мало) e.g. few candies, few carrots	Little (мало) e.g. little sugar, little tea
A few (декілька)	A little (трохи)
