Travel, journey or trip?

TRAVEL  is used to talk about going from one place to another
·        noun: a general word which means the activity of   travelling.
          Air travel has become much cheaper.
·  verb: used to show when someone goes from one place to another.
          I like to travel a lot, I’ve been to every continent!
·        ajective: There is a travel agency beside the bank.
       
JOURNEY is a distance covered when travelling from one place to another.      The amount of travelling required to reach a destination

·        Did you have a good journey?
·        Did you have a good travel?
·        a six-day journey across the desert
·        The journey was long and tiring. It took 5 hours to get there.
·        How long is your journey to work? Just about 20 minutes.

TRIP is a short journey in which you visit a place for a purpose, business or pleasure.

TOUR – Travelling to many different places during one trip.
·        We took a tour of Italy, we visited Milan, Rome and Florence. It was great!
VOYAGE a long journey by sea or in space.
·        The pirates went on a long voyage looking for treasure.

CRUISE – As a travelling noun, it means to travel on a boat in which you also sleep and stay. It’s like a resort on the water.
·        We took a luxury cruise to The Caribbean, it was amazing.
